What Exactly Are Symbols?

Symbols guide us every day.

Through being what we do and say.

At times they are the things unseen.

Like how we feel and what we mean.

Symbols show our inclinations.

Symbols provide our revelations.

Symbols lead to confidence; 

or the lack thereof.

Giving the ability to communicate love. 

Symbols are happenings within our awareness.

Whispers of pattern, mirrors of fairness.

They gather in moments we often pass by.

In the tilt of a thought,

in the breath of a sigh.

They anchor our choices.

They color our view.

They show us the meaning we already knew.

Symbols are teachers without any force.

Guiding us gently back to our course.

They open the day like a window of light.

Turning the ordinary into insight.
